Business Development Overview
The Industrial Water market is a niche business requiring dedicated expertise. Our success hinges on our ability as an EPC contractor to identify the right treatment solutions and demonstrate our expertise in implementing them. As a Business Development Director, you will work with the Industrial Water Market leader to develop and execute aggressive sales and marketing strategies to meet corporate and project goals while ensuring profitability. Your responsibilities will include:
Researching and identifying prospects and executing sales outreach Communicating with prospects until a project is secured and after completion Collaborating with Market Leaders, Design Managers, Project Directors, and clients to develop concepts, minimize rework, and ensure high client satisfaction Partnering with the marketing team on proposals, digital presence, trade shows, and marketing strategies Supporting project teams with background information and presentation strategies Presenting at industry events and technical summits Partnering with leaders on client acquisition, market research, and targeting strategies Leading and supporting business development efforts across markets Developing and delivering market-specific presentations Coordinating with engineering to identify technical needs and strategies Supporting pursuit development and capture strategies Participating in industry organizations (AWWA, WEFTEC, etc.) Travel as required Performing other duties as assigned Requirements
Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, including primary, secondary, tertiary treatments, and residuals management Understanding of wastewater permitting at federal, state, and local levels Knowledge of alternative treatment applications High client confidence and satisfaction levels Ability to bridge technical and operational communication Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or relevant Engineering 10+ years of experience in the industrial water market Additional Information
