A DC 1st Class Engineering License is required. Responsibilities
The Stationary Operations Engineer oversees and maintains stationary equipment within our facility, ensuring optimal operation and safety. This includes machinery understanding, routine check-ups, troubleshooting, and repairs. Maintenance and Operation:
Safely operate, maintain, and monitor boilers, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and other stationary equipment. Experience with chillers (+/-500 tons), boilers, pumps, control systems, air handlers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, VAVs, and VFDs is required. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and specifications, and respond to service calls for gas-fired boilers, chillers, AHUs, fire pumps, generators, UPS, ATS, BAS, and fire alarm systems. Routine Inspections:
Conduct regular inspections, identify potential issues, and ensure equipment operates within safety and performance standards. Document findings using the site CMMS system. Troubleshooting:
Diagnose system malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement solutions. Documentation:
Keep detailed records of inspections, maintenance, repairs, and replacements in compliance with standards. Compliance:
Ensure operations follow all relevant regulations and standards. Collaboration:
Work with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to resolve issues promptly. Emergency Response:
Respond to stationary equipment emergencies, applying safety procedures. Continuous Learning:
Stay updated with industry trends, equipment, and best practices through workshops and training. Qualifications
Minimum 12+ years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or GED. Active TS/SCI Polygraph clearance and U.S. Citizenship required. DC 1st Class Engineering License required. Candidate Expectations
Knowledge of boilers, HVAC, refrigeration, and related systems. Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interpret technical documentation. Understanding of building mechanical and electrical systems and controls. Benefits
