DC 1st Class Engineering License required. Responsibilities

The Stationary Operations Engineer oversees and maintains all stationary equipment within our facility, ensuring optimal operation and safety. This role requires an in-depth understanding of machinery, routine check-ups, troubleshooting, and efficient repair methods. Maintenance and Operation:

Safely operate, maintain, and monitor boilers, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and other stationary equipment. Must be experienced in maintenance and repairs on commercial-industrial building equipment, including chillers (+/- 500 tons), boilers, pumps, control systems, air handlers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, VAVs, and VFDs. Candidates should demonstrate practical knowledge of Chiller Plant Operations, reading blueprints, schematics, and specifications, and have the ability to respond to service calls involving gas-fired boilers, chillers, AHUs, fire pumps, generators, UPS, ATS, BAS, and Fire Alarm systems. Routine Inspections:

Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues, ensuring equipment operates within set parameters and safety standards. Respond to service calls by diagnosing problems, identifying causes, and implementing solutions. Complete documentation using the site CMMS system. Observe and interpret readings on gauges, meters, and charts, adjusting controls to ensure safe and efficient system operation. Maintain logs and perform preventive maintenance as per site standards. Troubleshooting:

Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Documentation:

Keep detailed records of inspections, maintenance, repairs, and replacements, ensuring all operations are logged per organizational standards. Compliance:

Ensure all operations adhere to local, state, and federal regulations related to stationary equipment. Collaboration:

Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to ensure seamless operation and issue resolution. Address questions, progress, and discrepancies impacting building operations, initiating follow-up actions as needed. Emergency Response:

Act as a first responder during stationary equipment emergencies, implementing safety procedures promptly. Continuous Learning:

Stay updated with the latest trends, equipment, and best practices through workshops and training. Qualifications

Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or GED. Applicants must undergo a government security investigation and meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship;

Active TS/SCI Poly required . DC 1st Class Engineering License required. Candidate Expectations

Familiarity with the operation, maintenance, and repair of boilers, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, etc. Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interpret technical documentation, including operation sequences, manuals, and specifications. Knowledge of building mechanical and electrical systems and HVAC controls. Benefits

The position requires lifting, carrying, and moving objects up to 50 pounds regularly. Candidates must demonstrate physical strength and stamina to perform tasks like loading/unloading, operating equipment, and transporting materials, following safety protocols. Ability to relocate a 12-foot stepladder without assistance. Work at heights up to 60 feet, climbing and maintaining balance on scaffolds, lifts, catwalks, and ladders. Perform routine physical activities including walking, climbing, lifting, and reaching. Good vision (corrected if necessary), color vision, hearing, and English communication skills. USD $45.40 - USD $72.60 per hour.
