Bridge Engineer
for our
Frisco, TX
office. This position will collaborate with in-house engineers, designers, and technicians to provide technical expertise for successful project delivery and quality design. This
Bridge Engineer
will perform a wide range of design tasks from basic to complex, including designing bridge components, detailing for plan production, quantity calculation, report preparation, and site inspection. Other responsibilities include: Design and load rating of simple and/or continuous span prestressed bridges Design and load rating of simple and/or continuous span steel bridges Design of retaining walls and sign support structures Bridge repair and rehabilitation design As experience is gained, responsibilities may expand into discipline lead or project management roles. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program 2-5 years of experience Strong communication skills Proficiency in MS Office Registered as an Engineer in Training (EIT) Design and detailing experience with prestressed concrete, reinforced concrete, and structural steel Experience with MicroStation, structural analysis, and design software Preferred Skills: Master's degree in civil engineering with structural emphasis from an ABET-accredited program Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) Familiarity with AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications Knowledge of TxDOT standards and manuals Experience in planning and designing bridges Grow With Us Garver offers programs such as company-paid memberships, support for industry licenses, and continuing education.
