The Hospice Medical Director (HMD) will be responsible for the overall medical direction of patient and family services. The HMD will work with the Executive Director, Director of Clinical Services, and Team Directors to plan and evaluate clinical services, serve on the Executive Team, support Provider Relations activities, and provide input to the CPI Committee. The HMD will also assume a leadership role on the Ethics Committee. In conjunction with the HMD responsibilities, the Team Physician will partner with the interdisciplinary care team and lead in Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) meetings to ensure comprehensive care planning, anticipate patient needs, and meet all regulatory requirements. The Team Physician is expected to participate in both in-person and virtual visits, document visits appropriately, and participate in a Call Coverage Rotation to address unanticipated needs and serve newly admitted patients. The role exemplifies team leadership and involves leading learning initiatives around end-of-life issues. Hospice Medical Director and Team Physician Qualifications: Active license and DEA in the state of care Ten or more years of clinical experience (preferred) Five or more years in a medical director or administrative role (preferred) Proven success in building new product/service/market (preferred) Required Certifications and Licensures: Licensed physician in at least one key state (e.g., California) Valid driver's license Come As You Are
