Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) Senior Network Engineer
DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a
Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) Senior Network Engineer
to join our team on the upcoming Enterprise DISA JSP ETM Services 2.0 program.
This position is onsite in the Washington, DC area.
Duties & Responsibilities
Work with JSP customers to clarify requirements, analyze needs, and support the development of technical solutions for ECPs.
Ensure all proposed network changes align with JSP and DoD standards, addressing system upgrades, network optimizations, and technology refresh projects.
Design comprehensive network architectures for ECPs based on requirements, including project schedules and cost estimates.
Provide expert input on network configuration, VLANs, VPNs, and switch installations for various ECP sizes, ensuring compliance with JSP standards.
Support expedited and regular-priority ECP workflows, ensuring timely delivery.
Collaborate with team leads and government personnel to develop project schedules, track statuses, and update management tools.
Perform quality assurance inspections, support project closeouts, and prepare documentation to meet security requirements.
Submit necessary forms such as DI&A Verification for completed ECPs.
Provide monthly ECP status reports and maintain a project repository accessible to JSP and government stakeholders.
Qualifications
Active Secret clearance required.
Bachelor's degree in IT or related field with 5+ years experience in network operating, troubleshooting, and installation.
5+ years designing and architecting routed and switched networks.
2+ years as senior or lead engineer in SDN planning, designing, and building.
3+ years experience in a DoD environment.
Strong mathematics and IT skills.
Experience with network device configuration, monitoring, and capacity planning.
Knowledge of current and emerging network design principles and protocols.
Experience with network virtualization and multi-tenant architectures.
Familiarity with various vendor equipment and scripting for network events.
Certifications: IAT Level III per DoD 8570.01-M.
