This Opportunity WSP is currently seeking a
Power Generation Mechanical Engineering Lead
for our office in
Seattle, WA . Other considered locations include:
Atlanta, GA, Houston, TX, Boston, MA, Boulder, CO, Chicago, IL, New York, NY, and San Francisco, CA . The candidate will work with our Energy Team on projects that meet client objectives and solve their challenges. Your Impact
Collaborate with clients to design thermal power generation facilities across the USA Work with multidisciplinary teams for detailed designs and Owner’s Engineer services Produce or review GT Pro models for project optimization Assess facility performance based on technology and climate Mentor junior to intermediate colleagues and review their work Develop processes to improve design deliverables Make responsible and ethical decisions regarding company resources and adhere to WSP’s policies Perform additional duties as needed Who You Are Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field 10+ years in thermal power generation industry Solutions-oriented problem solving Experience in improving workflow processes Ability to mentor and support technical development of staff Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences Strong analytical and modeling skills Self-leadership with attention to detail and multi-tasking Sound decision-making and strategic thinking in energy practice Willingness to travel as needed Professional work ethic and safety awareness Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Ability to plan and manage responsibilities independently Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Experience coordinating subcontractors safely and efficiently Ability to adhere to workplace safety policies Flexibility to work beyond typical hours if required Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Engineering Professional Engineering License Experience with gas turbine modeling software such as GT Pro WSP Benefits WSP offers comprehensive health and financial benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, retirement savings, paid leave, and more. Compensation Salary range: $111,200 - $198,220 (all locations); $97,100 - $186,000 (Colorado only). WSP reserves the right to adjust offers based on experience, location, and internal policies.
