(Full or part-time employment) Position Overview
MedStar Health Urgent Care is seeking experienced emergency medicine, urgent care, or family medicine physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. Advanced practice providers work autonomously with physician mentorship, assigned regionally with preferences for specific sites (Floating provider). Responsibilities
Manage acute walk-in urgent cases and perform minor procedures such as suturing, fracture care/splinting, I&Ds, interpreting EKGs, and reading X-rays (films read by a radiologist). Utilize on-site, low-complexity lab for point-of-care testing, with most sites equipped with full x-ray suites and support staff. Work within a facility open 12 hours daily, with shift lengths varying. System Support and Benefits
