Title : Big Data Systems Engineer (Remote)
We are seeking a Big Data Systems Engineer to join our team, supporting the Test Resource Management Center’s (TRMC) Big Data (BD) and Knowledge Management (KM) Team. This role involves deploying BD and KM systems for DoD testing ranges and acquisition programs. The position is remote, with options to work from KBR facilities or home, provided there is a stable internet connection.
Responsibilities
Deploy and integrate CHEETAS at multiple DoD ranges and labs.
Work closely with system administrators and software developers to resolve deployment issues.
Deploy CHEETAS in diverse environments, including those with no internet connectivity.
Act as a primary interface for customers experiencing CHEETAS deployment.
Minimum Qualifications
Active U.S. government TS/SCI security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Computer Science, Data Science, etc.) and 10 years of DoD experience.
Experience with Hadoop, SQL Server Big Data Cluster, Kubernetes, Linux distributions, Windows Server, VMWare.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in big data environments.
Skills & Abilities
Proficiency in deploying and troubleshooting big data ecosystems.
Excellent communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve deployment issues under pressure.
Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Over 10 years of experience in government/defense labs.
Experience with DoD acquisition programs and cybersecurity policies.
Benefits & Compensation Competitive benefits including 401K, medical, dental, vision, and more. Salary range: $150,000 - $200,000 annually.
