Position Overview KBR seeks a Big Data Systems Engineer to support the Test Resource Management Center’s (TRMC) Big Data (BD) and Knowledge Management (KM) Team. The role involves deploying BD and KM systems for DoD testing ranges and acquisition programs.
Responsibilities
Deploy and integrate CHEETAS at multiple DoD ranges and labs.
Work closely with system administrators and developers to resolve deployment issues.
Deploy CHEETAS in diverse environments, including isolated vaults with no internet.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful deployment and operation.
Minimum Qualifications
Active U.S. government TS/SCI clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 10+ years of DoD experience.
Experience with Hadoop, SQL Server Big Data Cluster, Kubernetes, CentOS, Ubuntu, RedHat, Windows Server, VMWare.
At least five years of hands-on experience in big data environments.
Skills and Abilities
Proficiency in deploying and configuring Big Data and KM tools.
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and with diverse teams.
Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years in government/defense labs.
Experience with DoD programs like JSF, TENA, JMETC.
Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity policies.
Benefits and Compensation Competitive benefits including 401K, healthcare, paid time off, and professional development. Salary range: $150,000 - $200,000.
Additional Information This is a remote position supporting national security efforts. Travel up to 50% may be required.
