Job Description The Assurance Manager is responsible for supervising, directing, and reviewing audit results through task delegation during the planning, field work, and wrap-up stages of an engagement. Key responsibilities include marketing, networking, business development, and ensuring engagement profitability through billings and collections. The role involves advising clients on economic and regulatory risks, resolving complex accounting issues, applying GAAP and GAAS, writing technical memos, and assessing financial reporting controls.
Job Duties
Control Environment:
Apply knowledge of policies and procedures to mitigate risks.
Assess and validate internal controls over financial reporting.
Supervise audit team work and review workpapers.
Provide on-the-job training.
GAAP:
Apply and document GAAP principles.
Consult on new accounting standards.
Draft financial statements and footnotes.
Resolve complex accounting issues with technical support.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics; Master’s preferred.
Minimum 5 years of relevant audit experience, with supervisory experience.
Active US CPA license or equivalent; international license with plans to obtain US CPA.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with assurance tools preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, SEC, and PCAOB regulations.
Excellent communication, leadership, and business development skills.
