Schedule:

Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm; 100% Onsite

Summary:

Under the direction of the Property Supervisor, the General Manager II is responsible for the overall operation of a multi-family property for extremely and very low-income tenants, including formerly homeless families and disabled adults. The General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the property, maintain a supportive environment for residents, ensure sound fiscal management, oversee building and grounds maintenance, manage onsite staff, and interact with vendors.

Essential Duties:

Building Operations and Supervision:

Manage building operations, supervise staff and vendors, ensure quality work, and adhere to policies.

Respond to resident requests and complaints promptly and courteously.

Oversee maintenance and custodial work, conduct inspections, and develop emergency plans.

Participate in meetings and perform other tasks as assigned.

Maintain high occupancy, actively market units, and ensure compliance with protocols and policies.

Review applications, conduct tours, and verify income for leasing.

Inspect units and common areas regularly, ensure timely work order completion.

Finance:

Monitor financials, participate in budgeting, review accounts, and process rent transactions accurately.

Tenant Relations:

Maintain good relationships with residents, perform inspections, and adhere to fair housing laws.

Compliance:

Maintain resident files, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage evictions per legal guidelines.

Qualifications:

Ability to work with diverse populations, demonstrate sound judgment, and possess strong organizational and communication skills.

Minimum of an associate degree or equivalent experience, with at least 1 year of management and supervisory experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with experience in HUD and Tax Credit programs preferred.

Preferred qualifications include certification, familiarity with Tenderloin neighborhood, and bilingual skills.
