Overview
Faculty members deliver and/or develop educational materials, teach in lecture or skills laboratory settings, record videos, and perform student assessments. They are assigned to provide instruction in the curriculum areas for which they have suitable training and experience.
Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver curriculum, including lectures or laboratory lessons on assigned topics.
Use current standards and references for educational materials in accordance with Touro College curriculum and objectives.
Develop and deliver curriculum as per the requirements set by the Course Director, Chair, Vice/Associate Chair, or Dean.
Participate in assessing student performance through appropriate examination methods.
Create an environment conducive to student learning and be responsive to student needs.
Serve on committees as assigned.
Advise and mentor students as assigned.
Qualifications
MD or DO degree.
Strong knowledge in the relevant specialty area(s).
Demonstrated teaching ability and desire.
Ability to work collaboratively.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Enthusiasm and motivation to contribute to osteopathic medicine and the university's growth.
An active and unrestricted medical license; Board certification is preferred.
Salary Range
Maximum: USD $150.00 per hour.
Minimum: USD $75.00 per hour.
