Overview
Faculty delivers and/or develops educational materials, teaches in the lecture or skills laboratory setting, records videos and/or performs student assessment. Assigned to provide instruction in a portion of the curriculum for which the individual has suitable training and experience.
Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver curriculum including (but not limited to) lectures or laboratory lessons on assigned topics.
Use current standards and references for educational materials in accordance with Tourocom curriculum and objectives.
Perform curriculum development and delivery in accordance with the requirements set forth by the appropriate Course Director, Chair, Vice/Associate Chair or Dean.
Participate in assessment of student performance through appropriate examination methods as assigned.
Promote an appropriate atmosphere for student education and be responsive to students’ needs.
Serve on committees, as assigned.
Advise and mentor students, as assigned.
Qualifications
MD or DO degree.
Strong knowledge base in specialty area(s).
Demonstrated ability and desire to teach.
Ability to work collaboratively.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Enthusiasm and motivation to contribute to the growth and development of osteopathic medicine and the university.
An active and unrestricted medical license and Board certification preferred.
Salary
Maximum Salary: USD $150.00/Hr.
Minimum Salary: USD $75.00/Hr.
