PracticeLink . The University of Kansas Cancer Center (KUCC) is seeking a full-time academic clinical physician/investigator with a demonstrated interest in geriatric oncology. The successful candidate will join a team of physicians and allied health professionals in the Division of Medical Oncology, Division of Geriatrics, and the Landon Center on Aging to develop and formalize a Geriatric Oncology program for the NCI-designated KU Cancer Center. The candidate will be involved in academic and teaching activities at the KU Clinical Research Center, the Division of Medical Oncology, and KUCC research programs. Job Responsibilities
Develop outpatient Geriatric Oncology assessment and consultative practice. Formalize and implement a Geriatric Oncology clinical program and research base. Conduct tandem subspecialty medical oncology clinical practice. Qualifications
Seeking Physician-investigators at the Assistant/Associate Professor level (MD or MD/PhD). Board certified or eligible in medical oncology or hematology/oncology, with training in geriatric medicine, and eligible for licensure in Kansas. Proven ability to serve in a consultative capacity in geriatric oncology, manage a subspecialty oncology practice, and conduct clinical and/or translational research in geriatric oncology (laboratory research not required). Demonstrated excellence in clinical care, research productivity, potential for extramural funding, and interest in graduate and medical education. Benefits and Compensation
