Responsibilities
Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center – Opening in 2025! When open in early 2025, Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health will be the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years. It will integrate clinical care with community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This system aims to establish a robust network of care for all District residents, especially ensuring residents of Wards 7 and 8 access high-quality community care. The hospital will include 136 beds (expandable to 184), a verified trauma center, emergency departments for adults and children, maternal health and newborn delivery services, an outpatient pavilion, a 500-car garage, and a helipad for emergency transport. Position: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Full Time, Nights The ideal candidate will perform routine and intensive therapy, diagnostic procedures, and patient assessments, complying with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory standards. Requirements: Graduation from an approved two-year respiratory therapy program Licensed by the District of Columbia Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification by NBRC BLS certification required Minimum 1-year full-time experience in an acute care setting Skills: Effective verbal and written communication Strong interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Adaptability to changing priorities Basic computer and customer service skills Ability to address the needs of the patient population EEO Statement
