Corporate Transactional Attorney Job Overview: A reputable law firm based in Chicago, IL, is actively seeking a Corporate Transactional Attorney with 5-7 years of experience in corporate law. This role offers the opportunity to work with closely-held and family-owned businesses, focusing on M&A, corporate finance, and succession planning, all while building strong client relationships and contributing to the firm’s business development. Duties: Manage complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate finance, and succession planning. Provide guidance on corporate governance and ensure business continuity for clients. Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, offering tailored legal advice. Contribute to business development initiatives and collaborate with other departments within the firm. Offer expert counsel in various aspects of corporate law to support clients' strategic goals. Requirements: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited institution. Licensed to practice law in Illinois. A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in corporate transactional law. Extensive experience with M&A, corporate finance, and venture capital transactions. Commercial real estate experience is a plus. Strong client management skills with an ability to build rapport and maintain relationships. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. High level of professionalism and attention to detail. Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. Certifications: Licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois. Skills: Expertise in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate governance, and succession planning. Advanced knowledge of corporate finance and venture capital.
