Greenberg-Larraby, Inc. (GLI) is currently seeking a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) to join our experienced oncology team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for calculating and planning radiation dose distributions for patients undergoing radiation therapy, ensuring optimal treatment while prioritizing patient safety and quality of care.Your responsibilities will include working closely with radiation oncologists and medical physicists to develop individualized treatment plans, utilizing advanced dosimetry techniques and software. You will conduct quality assurance checks, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in clinical meetings, contributing to the multidisciplinary approach to cancer care.At GLI, we value the skills and expertise of our staff, fostering an environment that encourages professional development and collaboration to enhance patient outcomes.A current CMD certification is required, along with an active state license. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens.This position offers a Monday to Friday schedule with excellent work-life balance, as there are no weekend or on-call requirements.RequirementsKey Responsibilities: Calculate and create individualized radiation treatment plans based on clinical requirements and dose specifications. Collaborate with radiation oncologists and medical physicists to ensure treatment plans meet established clinical standards. Utilize sophisticated treatment planning software to develop and modify treatment distributions. Conduct quality assurance reviews to verify treatment plans' accuracy and effectiveness. Document all aspects of treatment planning and maintain comprehensive patient records. Participate in treatment planning meetings and contribute to patient care discussions. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Medical Dosimetry or a relevant field. Current certification as a Medical Dosimetrist (CMD). Active state license to practice as a Medical Dosimetrist. In-depth knowledge of radiation physics, radiobiology, and treatment planning. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. U.S. Citizenship required.
