You will carry out medical dosimetry functions, treatment planning, and quality assurance while supporting advanced radiation therapy techniques. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals passionate about patient care and precision in medical technology.WORKSITE: VA Radiation Oncology Department (Exact location to be confirmed)WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch break)PAY RATE: WHAT WE OFFER:Paid sick leave based on state regulations after 90 days of employmentMedical, dental, and vision coverage after a waiting period (60% paid by Fortuna)Free TeleMedicine and Mental Health support for all employees and their familiesAdditional voluntary benefits: Group Life Insurance, Accidental Insurance, Critical Care, Short-Term DisabilityWHAT YOU'LL DO:Perform medical dosimetry functions under the direction of the VA Radiation Oncologist and/or Contractor's Medical PhysicistAct as the technical supervisor for dosimetry services and quality assurance activitiesDesign and implement treatment plans using HyperArc, IMRT, SBRT, 2D/3D planning, IGRT, and SRS/SRT modalitiesAssist with simulations and tumor localization using CT, MRI, and PET-CT fusionOversee fabrication of beam-modifying devices including compensators, shields, and immobilization toolsPerform dosimetric calculations, documenting and verifying all computations according to QA standardsSupport medical physicists in calibration, QA, and radiation protection tasksEnsure proper implementation of treatment plans with correct usage of all technical variablesMaintain high standards of care in compliance with TJC, ACR/APEX, and VA proceduresWHAT YOU'LL BRING:Certification by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB)Minimum two (2) years of recent, continuous CMD experienceOne (1) year experience in an ACR or APEX certified healthcare systemExperience with:Varian Linear Accelerators: TrueBeam with Rapid Arc (or equivalent)IGRT including Cone Beam CT following TG-142 standardsEclipse treatment planning system and ARIA record & verify system for SRS, SRT, SBRT, and IMRT, compliant with TG-53 and MPPG 5.BClient CT Simulator (or equivalent)BLS Certification from the American Heart AssociationClinical references confirming active practice within the past yearProficiency in spoken and written EnglishUnrestricted license to practice Radiation Therapy or Medical Dosimetry in the U.S. or territoriesAbility to meet TJC credentialing and QA standardsPreferred Qualifications:Previous VA healthcare system experienceFortuna operates as a staffing agency that sources, screens, and presents potential candidates for employment opportunities on behalf of our clients.
