Production Control Inventory Cycle Counter Summary The Inventory Cycle Counter ensures the accuracy of on-hand inventory by performing scheduled cycle counts, investigating variances, and coordinating corrective actions. Accurate inventory data supports reliable production scheduling, purchasing decisions, KPI reporting, and customer service. This role is on the production floor for upwards of 90% of scheduled hours. Must work safely around production equipment and fork trucks in a fast-paced environment. Candidate must be a quick learner and a self-starter. Candidate must be very detail oriented and willing to follow a daily repetitive routine. Entry level position, manager is willing to train. Looking for someone with computer aptitude, high level of communication skills, attention to detail, strong work ethic and good attitude/ willing to learn. The plant can get very hot over the summer. This candidate will need to be willing and able to be on the production floor moving around with forklift traffic. They will be using a scanner for inventory; manager will train this person on how to use the inventory system on the scanner. Need to be able to lift up to 50 lbs. to waist high. If this is a strong candidate who works hard, the HM would consider them for a FTE position down the road. Having inventory management/ logistics experience would be a preferred, but not required. Initial phone screen 20-30 minutes. Then schedule onsite interview. Teammate will be on the Plant shop floor counting parts daily, scanning and entering into computer system. Environment is hot in the plant, and will spend majority of time on shop floor counting and scanning parts. May have limited time in the production office going over count issues. This position will take direct supervision from Production Scheduling Manager. Attention to detail and ability to focus while counting parts and scanning. Hot environment, monotonous work, so need ability to notice discrepancy between parts, detailed and focused. Scanning equipment will be used. Qualification High School Diploma or GED•Top 3 skills required: detailed, computer aptitude; ability to focus •Work Schedule & Hours/Days: Monday thru Friday - 7AM to 3:30 PM - 1/2 hour lunch •No OT Required •PPE Required: Bridgestone will supply •Will there be an interview or hire off the resume only?: Hiring Manager to interview candidates •Candidates need experience or is the manager willing to train?: Manager will train - essentially they will be taking a list of inventory items, going to storage location and counting the parts to see if they match what computer system shows, then scanning that information into computer. •Level of Education Needed: High School Diploma •Training Shift and Schedule: Mon thru Friday - 7AM to 3:30 PM •BG Waiver Okay
