Data Engineer

We're hiring a Data Engineer to join a mission-driven team supporting advanced data and machine learning initiatives. In this role, you'll assist in building and maintaining data pipelines, develop internal tools and APIs, and contribute to transforming raw data into actionable insights. This is a great opportunity for someone with a technical foundation in Python and SQL, a Top Secret clearance, and a strong desire to grow in data engineering and analytics. Responsibilities : Assist in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) workflows. Work with senior engineers and scientists to prepare, clean, and transform data for analytics and Machine Learning (ML) models. Support development of internal data tools, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), and dashboards using Python, SQL, NoSQL, and modern frameworks. Write reusable, tested, and efficient code. Participate in code reviews, data validation, and deployment processes. Help document code, data models, and analytical workflows. Required Qualifications: Proficiency in Python, SQL, NoSQL. Understanding of basic machine learning concepts and software development practices. Exposure to version control (e.g., Git). Strong curiosity and willingness to learn new tools and technologies. Top Secret Clearance CompTIA Security + Certification Preferred Qualifications: Experience with tools such as Airflow. Exposure to Docker or containerization. Hands-on experience with a User Interface (UI) framework (e.g., Angular, Vue, React). Hands-on experience with an API framework (e.g., Flask, FastAPI, GraphQL).
