Responsibilities OBXtek is hiring an immediate need for a number of highly qualified Senior System Acquisition Specialists to support our new U.S. Space Force, Space Systems Command Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power (SDA&CP) and Battle Management Command, Control and Communications (BMC3) Support Services contract (Hemisphere) in multiple locations including El Segundo, CA, Colorado Springs, CO, and the National Capital Region (NCR). Travel is not anticipated but would occur less than five percent of the time on an occasional and irregular basis and be limited to domestic locations only. Responsibilities We are seeking multiple candidates to fill the following positions at the Senior and Subject Matter Expert (SME) levels: Senior Acquisition Leads in El Segundo, CA Senior Acquisition Managers in El Segundo, CA Senior Acquisition Management Specialists/DAGs in El Segundo, CA Chief Acquisition Management Specialist/DAG SMEs in El Segundo, CA Acquisition Management Specialist/Engine Room SMEs in NCR Senior Acquisition Management Specialist SMEs in Colorado Springs, CO Senior Acquisition SMEs in El Segundo, CA Senior Acquisition Specialists in El Segundo, CA, Colorado Springs, CO, LAAFB, CA, and NCR Acquisition Specialist SMEs in El Segundo, CA Senior Acquisition Support Specialists in El Segundo, CA Product Support SMEs in El Segundo, CA Senior Program Acquisition Operations Analysts in El Segundo, CA Senior Source Selection & Acquisition Strategy Support Specialists in El Segundo, CA, and Colorado Springs, CO The Acquisition Support Specialist SMEs shall have: Deep understanding of mission-critical aspects of space acquisition, launch, ground, and sustainment projects Ability to independently perform all functional duties, even of lower labor categories Knowledge of Higher Headquarters, Air Force, Space Command processes and procedures Proficiency in Air Force and Space Acquisition terminology Expertise in Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Statistics Ability to manage all aspects of program financial management for ACAT-like systems Knowledge of DoD PPBES process Understanding of FAR and DFARSUP regulations The Senior Acquisition Support Specialists shall have: Expertise in supporting Defense Acquisition Boards Leadership ability for acquisition and systems engineering teams Research, data reconciliation, and analysis skills Knowledge of technical reviews and source selection activities Design and development knowledge of space systems Experience with classified acquisition programs and space control/SSA missions Insight into space threats, urgent needs, and operational requirements Experience with acquisition strategy, scheduling, and risk management Understanding of security, IT, and manpower considerations in classified programs Experience with system engineering and logistics integration Salary Range: $160k - $230k Qualifications Required: U.S. Citizen Active TS/SCI clearance/access or TS/SCI Eligible (Note: Senior Acquisition Management Specialists in El Segundo require only an active Secret clearance) Masters degree in a relevant discipline or BS/BA with 12+ years of relevant experience Desired: Experience in U.S. Air Force or Space Force space system acquisition Knowledge of SDA, SSA, space control, satellite design, launch, and operations PMP certification Completion of PMT 4010 or 4020 courses Familiarity with TMT process, MS Office, CCaRS Current CI polygraph or willingness to obtain one Security Clearance Top Secret with SCI eligibility Company Information Headquartered in McLean, Virginia, OBXtek is a growing leader in government contracting, founded in 2009.
