JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Florence, South Carolina Service Setting: Anesthesia Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: Start Date: 02/17/2025 Ongoing Clinical Shift Schedule: Preference for 10-hour shifts; 8-hour shifts also available Call Schedule: Available for full-time or 1-2 weeks per month PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adult Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 2-3 cardiac/major vascular cases per week; may include additional general cases Case Mix: Focus on cardiac, major vascular, and thoracic anesthesia; general and ambulatory surgery center (ASC) cases as needed FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes (cross-credentialing available for other locations) Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 90 days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Rate: TBD Travel: Car rental or mileage covered; airline reimbursement available for 90-day assignments (1 round-trip ticket per 90 days with prior approval) REQUIRED PROCEDURES Cardiac, major vascular, and thoracic anesthesia General anesthesia responsibilities when no cardiac cases are scheduled JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active South Carolina state license required Certifications: Not specified Experience: Prior experience in cardiac anesthesia preferred Other Requirements: Must be flexible to cover general anesthesia cases and adapt to census fluctuations DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide high-quality anesthesia care with a focus on cardiac, major vascular, and thoracic procedures Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and other support staff Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR Ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards Support seamless communication with patients and families
