Job Summary:
The Building Engineer will monitor, maintain, and repair building system operations, ensuring reliable performance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, roofing, and other facility systems. This role supports work order resolution, preventative maintenance, and daily facilities upkeep while covering a temporary service gap.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle incoming work orders and perform necessary maintenance or repairs.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance (PM) on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Perform general facilities maintenance services, including painting, roofing, and equipment upkeep.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain compliance with safety protocols and applicable regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, contractors, and building occupants.
Required Experience:
  • 3-4 years of building engineering or facilities maintenance experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent with relevant hands-on experience.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
  • Prior electrical work experience.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Required Skills:
  • Strong maintenance and repair skills across building systems.
  • Good verbal communication.
  • Effective time management and task prioritization.
Preferred Skills:
  • EPA 608 License or NFPA 70E certification.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and preventative maintenance best practices.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Additional Skills:
  • Commitment to safety, including adherence to drug screening and safety-specific background checks.
