We are currently looking for a Part Time 29 Phlebotomist/Laboratory Aide I to join our Laboratory Phlebotomy Group team located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center working 6:00AM-3:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.
Summary:
Provides phlebotomy services, non-technical and semi-technical services in the clinical laboratory.
Responsibilities:
* Obtains adequate and proper specimens from patients for laboratory testing
* Instructs patients on proper test collection and preparation
* Follows appropriate guidelines based on the age and condition of the patient in collecting specimens for testing
* Treats all patients and family with care and respect and maintain a cooperative attitude with fellow employees to facilitate quality patient care
* Orders and accession laboratory tests through the laboratory information system and assist other personnel with laboratory test orders
* Complies with all safety and infection control policies and procedures
* Assists the Laboratory Clerk/Medical Technologist with non-technical tasks and clerical duties
* Manages and orders office inventory, equipment, uniforms and/or other operational supplies
* Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types
