Position Summary
Within the scope of credentials and licensure, the Medical Assistant performs administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Clinical duties include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, as directed by physician while assisting in minor office procedures. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments and maintaining medical records.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the physician as instructed with patient care during office visits.
- Assist the physician with patients by telephone, including instructions to sick patients and prescription refills.
- Maintain an aseptic environment appropriate for medical office.
- Educate patients on their physical condition, treatment plan, use of equipment and medication deliver devices, environmental controls and any other issues which may affect the patients' care.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Clinic Hours:
- Monday-Friday 8 am - 5 pm
- No Weekends
- Float Expectations in either location Gainesville, GA and Braselton, GA.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred (required for South Carolina)
- CPR Certification preferred (required for South Carolina)
- Proficient in using electronic health records systems and basic computer applications
