Job Description:

The Financial Analyst, Asset Management will work on a high-profile, growing portfolio of healthcare real estate assets within the Senior Living group. Responsibilities include analyzing portfolio performance, creating and managing forecast models, and overseeing operator relationships alongside the Asset Manager and Director of Asset Management. Prior real estate or healthcare experience is not required; candidates should be analytical, detail-oriented, curious, quick learners, and eager to contribute to a successful company.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze macroeconomic, senior living industry, and operator data to produce insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Support the Asset Manager in evaluating and executing portfolio transactions such as acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, and capital investments.
  • Build and maintain relationships with operating partners.
  • Conduct performance reviews and site visits to optimize occupancy and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Investment and Capital Markets teams on transactions.
  • Prepare and present materials for meetings with Ventas leadership.
  • Manage capital expenditure processes and partner with FP&A on financial forecasting.
  • Review operator financials and prepare materials for earnings calls, investor conferences, and board meetings.
  • Interpret and administer management agreements and lease documents.
  • Handle other special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of financial analysis experience post-undergraduate.
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills; coursework like Training the Street is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Experience presenting to senior executives.
  • Proficient understanding of financial statements.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative, eager to learn, and team-oriented.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; Power Query experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 15-30% as required.
