Job Description:

The Financial Analyst, Asset Management will have the opportunity to work on a high-profile, growing portfolio of healthcare real estate assets within the Senior Living group and assist in all aspects of portfolio performance and analytics. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for creating, managing, and improving analyses and forecast models, as well as overseeing operator relationships alongside the Asset Manager and Director of Asset Management. Prior real estate or healthcare experience is not required; we seek candidates who are analytical, detail-oriented, curious, quick learners, and eager to contribute to a successful company.

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze macroeconomic, senior living industry, and operator data to produce insights that inform strategic decisions.
  2. Support the Asset Manager in evaluating portfolio transactions such as buy/sell/hold decisions, property SWOT analyses, and competitive assessments.
  3. Establish and maintain relationships with operating partners.
  4. Conduct performance and operational review calls with operators.
  5. Visit sites to collaborate with on-site teams and improve occupancy performance.
  6. Work with Investments and Capital Markets teams on transactions including acquisitions and redevelopments.
  7. Prepare and present materials for weekly and monthly meetings with senior leadership.
  8. Facilitate capital expenditure processes, including strategic planning and monitoring.
  9. Partner with FP&A to drive quarterly forecasts for joint ventures and investments.
  10. Analyze operator financials and prepare materials for earnings calls and investor meetings.
  11. Interpret and manage management agreements and lease documents.
  12. Participate in special and ad hoc projects.

Qualifications:
  1. Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  2. At least 2 years of post-undergraduate financial analysis experience.
  3. Advanced Excel modeling skills; coursework like Training the Street is a plus.
  4. Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  5. Experience presenting to senior executives.
  6. Understanding of financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  7. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Team-oriented, eager to learn, and collaborative.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; Power Query experience is a plus.
  10. Willingness to travel approximately 15-30% as needed.
