Accounts Receivable Analyst

$55-60k base salary
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Analyst to join their fast-growing team. If you thrive in financial management and enjoy the construction industry, this is your opportunity to make an impact with one of the DC area's fastest-growing companies.
Position Summary
As an Accounts Receivable Analyst, youll manage invoicing and collections for both construction and non-construction projects. Youll ensure accurate billing, follow up on outstanding balances, and collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to resolve billing issues.
Industry experience in construction and knowledge of AIA billing, lien waivers, retainage, and intercompany processes are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities Create customer invoices (AIA progress, T&M, and change orders) Reconcile monthly intercompany billings Track billing schedules, retainage, and contract payments Monitor AR reports and follow up on collections Coordinate billing accuracy with project managers Manage lien releases and compliance docs Post and apply incoming payments Reconcile AR subledger to general ledger Maintain customer records in accounting software Assist with job cost tracking and audits
Qualifications 24 years of AR experience (construction preferred) Familiar with AIA G702/G703 and contract billing terms Experience with intercompany billing and reconciliations Understanding of lien laws and retainage Proficient with accounting software (Viewpoint, Sage 300 CRE, Foundation, QuickBooks, etc.) Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing priorities Strong written and verbal communication skills Associates or Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Preferred (Bonus) Skills Job cost accounting and financial reporting Experience in multi-entity environments Knowledge of union labor reporting and prevailing wage projects
