Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.

- Analyze and review construction documents including plans, addendums, and specifications.
- Conduct project site visits and attend pre-bid meetings to assess scope of work and site conditions.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather accurate pricing and availability of materials/services.
- Collaborate with the estimating team to prepare competitive cost estimates for highway construction projects.
- Develop pre- and post-construction schedules based on project documentation.
- Interpret project plans, specifications, and constraints to determine project needs.
- Meet with project stakeholders to understand the full scope and requirements.
- Work independently and as part of a team in estimating and project management functions.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in highway construction estimating with strong knowledge of civil engineering and construction practices.
- Familiarity with GDOT specifications, standards, and details is preferred.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools such as Excel, AutoCAD, HCSS Heavy Bid, Bluebeam, and Primavera P6.
- Strong ability to interpret construction drawings and technical documentation.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in estimates and planning.
- Willingness and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
- Ability to lift over 40 lbs. and perform physical site inspections.
- Availability to work nights and weekends as required.
- Clean driving record required.
- Prior experience on Georgia DOT projects is a plus.
