COHO Technology Solutions is seeking a .NET Developer who will support our customer at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard by designing, developing, and maintaining software applications in alignment with the program’s mission to deliver secure, efficient, and scalable solutions for government systems. This role supports modernization efforts and application enhancements to meet operational goals, user needs, and compliance standards. The developer will work closely with analysts, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables and system performance. Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Design, develop, test, and deploy .NET applications and services Maintain and enhance existing applications written in .NET Participate in requirements gathering and technical specification development Debug and resolve application issues and defects Collaborate with team members to integrate systems and support end-to-end application workflows Implement security and data protection best practices Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code Support release management and version control processes Clearance: Secret clearance required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred Experience: 5+ years of experience in software development using the Microsoft .NET stack, preferably in a government contracting or enterprise environment. Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, and related technologies. Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., JavaScript, Angular, or React) is a plus. Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. Experience working with SQL Server or other relational databases. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools like Git. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
