TheRise48 Groupis a real estate investment company that includes a robust corporate accounting and compliance team located in North Scottsdale, AZ.We are looking for an experienced tax staff looking to be promoted to senior or a senior with a busy season or two under their belt to join our Tax Team.The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and adhere to strict deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Partnership Tax Compliance Prepare and initially review federal and state Form1065 returns, including Schedules K-1, 8804/8805, and state filings.
Data & Document Management Gather, organize, and QC investor data, loan statements, settlement statements, and cost-seg reports to ensure complete, audit-ready workpapers.
Bookkeeping Support Maintain and reconcile general-ledger activity in for property-level and holding-company entities; post accruals and reclasses required for tax books.
Capital Accounts & Allocations Assist the Tax Manager in tracking 704(b) and tax capital, special allocations, and waterfall modeling.
Investor Reporting Generate K-1s, respond to routine investor inquiries, and coordinate electronic distribution.
Process Improvement Help implement best-practice procedures and leverage technology to automate data flows, checklists, and status dashboards.
Ad-Hoc Projects Provide research and analytical support for acquisition due diligence, cost-seg studies, 1031 planning, and refinancing scenarios as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree preferably in Accounting or related field of study
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Public Accounting
Ability to work closely with clients to answer questions or to collect necessary information for tax service requirements
Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance (Specifically relating to pass-through entities)
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Real estate or private equity industry specialization is a plus but not a requirement.
CPA, JD, LLM, or EA preferred
Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Key Performance Indicators:
All third-party fund manager tax returns prepared and K-1s distributed by 4/15
All holdings entity tax returns prepared and K-1s distributed by 5/15
Investor information imported by Dec 31
Fund financials reviewed by Jan 15
New fund managers onboarded within 60 days of acquisition
