precision, and passion on every project. Position Overview The Accounts Receivable / Controller will manage all aspects of billing, collections, and financial tracking related to custom residential projects. You'll work closely with project managers,
coordinators, clients, and subcontractors to ensure timely invoicing, precise job costing, and
strong financial controls. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate monthly progress billings, final invoices, and client documentation Manage AR workflows including vendor/subcontractor billing and payment tracking Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records across all projects Review contracts, change orders, and milestone billing with project teams Analyze job costing data and compile budget reconciliation reports by project or subcontractor Monitor aging reports and follow up professionally on outstanding accounts Produce monthly financial reports including Work-in-Progress (WIP), P&L statements, and forecasting tools Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial best practices Maintain detailed billing, payment, and correspondence records Collaborate with leadership to improve systems and streamline accounting operations Qualifications 3+ years of experience in AR or Controller roles (construction or custom homebuilding preferred) Strong background in job costing, WIP analysis, and financial reconciliation Proficiency with Buildertrend, QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel (or similar platforms) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with vendors and clients Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical with the ability to prioritize in a fast- paced environment Professional demeanor and commitment to accuracy and transparency
