Primary Function
This role is responsible for collaborating with customer and internal departments (IT, Manufacturing, Automation, Quality, OPS) to define and enable efficient manufacturing that achieves optimal performance according to company metrics and customer requirements for CSG and ISG products.
Duties And Responsibilities
Define E2E manufacturing processes, ensuring that both manual and automated activities meet product specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements. Collaborate with automation and digitalization teams to integrate DFMS and digital tools for process optimization. Manage and update the Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure the information is correctly configured and categorized for the manufacturing process, including compatibility with automated equipment, digital tools, and traceability. Perform the configuration and integration of products and parts to meet internal (company) and external (customer) requirements, ensuring that automated machines and DFMS systems are programmed and validated for new product configurations. Collaborate with Automation and IT departments to define, validate, and optimize automated processes and equipment, including the integration of DFMS data for real-time monitoring and control. Review, implement, and follow up on ECOs to ensure that Engineering changes are appropriately documented, communicated, and executed in the production process, including updates to automated systems and digital records in DFMS. Work with other departments (IT, Automation, ME, TE, QA, OPS) to define, implement, and update the DFMS for process control, data analysis, and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. Ensure that manufacturing processes (manual and automated) meet quality standards and customer requirements. Conduct failure analysis on components that fail to meet specifications, working with Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) to investigate the root cause and ensure that suppliers implement corrective and preventive actions. Act as the primary contact and owner for follow-up on customer escalations related to manufacturing processes, driving resolution, and implementing corrective actions. Facilitate collaboration between Engineering departments and Operations to address issues, support the implementation of automation and digitalization projects, and ensure alignment on process requirements. Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Relationship Management
Collaborates daily with operations, automation, IT, and quality teams. Interfaces with customers to align engineering requirements and responds to internal technical requests.
Self-Management
Self-driven with a proactive approach to process improvement. Manages competing timelines effectively, maintains confidentiality with customer data, and consistently seeks more efficient product solutions.
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Required Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in a product or process engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
