Job Overview Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist:Compensation: $110,000 $130,000/year + bonusLocation: New York, NYSchedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid) Take ownership of accounts payable and full-cycle payroll operations as an Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist in New York, NY (Hybrid) with our client, a growing multi-entity financial services firm. This dual-role position involves invoice processing, payment runs, employee reimbursements, and payroll coordination through a PEO. Experience with Microsoft Business Central, Trinet, and RAMP is highly preferred. Responsibilities as the Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist:
Invoice & Payment Processing:
Code and process invoices, manage vendor records, and execute weekly payments via ACH, checks, and wires. Expense & Month-End Support:
Review expense reports in RAMP and assist with AP accruals, reconciliations, and bank statement downloads. Payroll Administration:
Handle biweekly payroll for salaried and hourly staff in coordination with a PEO, ensuring accuracy and compliance. HR & Reporting Coordination:
Process compensation changes, post journal entries, reconcile payroll accounts, and assist with W-2s and 1099s. Employee & Compliance Support:
Respond to payroll inquiries and help maintain payroll tax and regulatory compliance. Qualifications for the Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist:
Education:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Experience: 4+ years of combined accounts payable and payroll experience, ideally within a financial services or multi-entity partnership firm. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Business Central and PEO platforms like Trinet is required, with RAMP experience highly preferred. Skills & Attributes: Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented, with strong multitasking, communication, and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
