Are you looking to apply your manufacturing operations and engineering expertise in a field that supports explorers and heroes? We need your skills! As an Operations Manager I, you'll drive strategic goals in areas such as manufacturing operations, production control, product engineering, manufacturing engineering, equipment engineering, inventory control, and materials management, including purchasing and shipping/receiving. You will improve technologies, resolve problems in collaboration with manufacturing, quality assurance, and engineering, and translate customer requirements into efficient manufacturing strategies. Your responsibilities include developing plans, budgets, policies, procedures, and ensuring a safe, compliant production environment. Sierra Space, based in Louisville, Colorado, with operations in Madison, Wisconsin, and Durham, North Carolina, designs and manufactures advanced spacecraft, satellites, propulsion, environmental systems, and components for the U.S. government (including NASA), commercial clients, and international organizations. Must-Haves
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field; relevant experience may substitute. Understanding of production/manufacturing principles, techniques, and best practices. Ability to interpret technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals. Experience with materials management systems. Previous supervisory experience, capable of recruiting, directing, and evaluating staff. Preferred
2-4 years of relevant experience; higher degrees may substitute. Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraints. Understanding of Assembly, Integration, and Test practices. Background in Aerospace, Defense, US Department of Defense, or US Military. Additional Information

Sierra Space offers annual incentive pay, comprehensive benefits, and a referral bonus of $1,500. The estimated starting salary range is $104,827.91 - $144,138.39.
