Vibra Specialty Hospital of Portland, located in Portland, OR, is a 65-bed Critical Care Hospital providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Our patients often require additional critical care services for complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer a fast-paced and friendly work environment where staff can develop close relationships with patients and their families.
Responsibilities
The Chief Clinical Officer is responsible for overseeing nursing and clinical services, playing an active leadership role in hospital decision-making. This includes ensuring staff competence, appropriate staffing levels, clinical program development, and hospital-wide policy development. The CCO develops staffing plans, manages departmental budgets, plans resource utilization, maintains a positive work environment, and monitors care quality. The role involves working closely with physicians to address patient care needs and promote the facility through active participation in healthcare activities.
Required Skills :
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing required; Master’s Degree in Health Administration, Nursing, or a related field preferred. Equivalent advanced education or a plan to obtain such qualifications may be considered.
At least five (5) years of experience in a nursing management position supervising patient care.
Current, valid RN license in the state of employment.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications from a Vibra-approved vendor.
A valid driver’s license may be required for work across multiple sites.
Additional Qualifications / Skills :
Previous LTAC experience preferred.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance.
Strong organizational, prioritization, and analytical skills.
Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
Working knowledge of relevant computer applications.
Free from illegal drug use and effects of substance abuse in the workplace.
