Breeden Wiring Systems (BWS) is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) with strong experience in wire harness manufacturing (desired) to work on-site at our customer’s location in
Waukesha, WI.
This role supports natural gas engine and genset programs and will lead supplier quality activities on behalf of the customer with technical support from BWS. This is a salaried, full-time role with an initial 12-month commitment embedded SQE at our customer location. After this period, the customer may choose to extend the commitment, hire you directly, or the candidate may be reassigned within BWS. ·Lead First Piece Qualifications (FPQ) and data-driven failure analysis ·Perform and contribute to PFMEAs, PPAPs, and APQP deliverables ·Coordinate corrective actions and manage deviation approvals ·Support supplier audits and build relationships with key vendors ·Provide actionable design feedback to engineering teams ·Travel to domestic and international supplier locations as needed ·Operate within customer systems (e.g., Windchill, Oracle), and follow customer protocols ·Serve as the on-site SQE reporting to the customer quality team, with guidance from BWS Required Qualifications ·Strong understanding of PPAP and APQP processes ·Experience coordinating with suppliers and engineering teams ·U.S. work authorization and willingness to travel as needed · Hands-on experience with wire harness manufacturing and failure analysis · Familiarity with Windchill PLM and Oracle ERP systems ·Knowledge of sensors, actuators, and electronic controllers ·Background in industrial engines, generators, or genset systems ·Work on high-impact, mission-critical programs ·Be part of a collaborative and technical culture at both BWS and the customer site ·Access to mentorship, training, and technical support from BWS experts ·Competitive salary: $90,000 – $130,000, depending on experience ·Benefits include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), and professional development ·Option to be hired directly by the customer after 12 months or reassigned at BWS Join a team that’s powering the next generation of industrial energy systems.
