Controller – Hollywood Florida
A growing health and wellness company located in Hollywood, Florida is looking to bring on a Controller to their team. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all finance and accounting operations to ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant financial management. Key duties include producing financial reports, maintaining accounting systems, managing internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. Responsibilities:
Develop and enforce accounting policies and procedures Oversee the accounting team and structure for goal achievement Stay updated on financial regulations and best practices Ensure timely payment of payables and collection of receivables Manage cash flow and payroll processing Perform monthly reconciliations (bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts) Ensure timely debt payments and maintain the chart of accounts Organize and maintain accounting records and control systems Lead budget creation, forecasting, and variance analysis Provide financial reports and metrics; support strategic financial decisions Coordinate year-end financials and tax preparation with external CPAs Manage audits and external financial reviews as needed
Qualifications
BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance 7+ years of experience, ideally within eCommerce, healthcare, tech, manufacturing, or inventory accounting Strong revenue recognition experience ERP experience CPA highly preferred Must be onsite 4 days/week
