Job Title: Financial Controller

$104,000.00/yr - $131,000.00/yr Job Summary: The Controller assists the CFO in all daily financial operations, including month-end close review, analysis, and action planning, as well as monitoring key performance indicators and overseeing supply chain and revenue cycle operations. The role involves safeguarding hospital assets and ensuring financial statements are prepared in accordance with GAAP. Provides hands-on training and continuous improvement support to department leaders and staff related to market financial operations. Responsible for preparing the Market's annual detailed operating budget, routine forecasts, and ensuring compliance with audit requirements for GME and Lab. Oversees Shared Services, Lab, GME entities, and other market support functions as appropriate. Responsibilities: Participates in the market's financial planning, analyzes deficiencies, and prepares reports. Provides director-level oversight for finance teams in Lab and GME. Leads collaboration with hospital controllers to optimize financial performance. Works with department leaders to develop work plans for financial improvements and ensures compliance with internal audit standards. Performs self-audit risk assessments and ensures SOX compliance. Prepares timely and accurate month-end reports and performance analyses. Reviews balance sheet reconciliations and assists in developing mitigation plans for shortfalls. Manages the annual operating budget process, collecting information and setting efficient goals. Assists in program planning, including organizational goals, budgeting, and resource utilization. Prepares revenue, cost, and service line analyses, as well as pro forma development. Collaborates with the CFO on initiatives to manage financial operations effectively and can perform CFO responsibilities if needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Key Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience. Minimum of five years in hospital accounting or finance; seven years preferred.
