What You Will Learn:
The Sales and Use Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's sales and use tax compliance, planning, and strategy. This role requires a deep understanding of multi-state sales and use tax laws, excellent analytical and organizational skills, strong people management skills and the ability to effectively manage tax processes and stakeholder relationships. The manager will ensure accurate and timely filing of all sales and use tax returns, identify opportunities for process improvements and be a key support for business and IT projects where sales and use tax is impacted. Develops, manages, executes, and supports continuous improvement projects focusing on Safety, Quality, Cost, Productivity, Service, and People. Preparation and management of accurate and timely sales and use tax returns Prepare monthly sales/use tax journal entry, reconciliations and working papers to support the General Ledger tax account balances Analyze tax data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential compliance issues Supervise, mentor, and develop one or more direct reports Delegate tasks effectively and manage workload distribution. Assist in determining nexus, identifying filing requirements, and registering to ensure tax compliance in all state and local jurisdictions in the US Respond to state and local tax notices and inquires Research various tax issues Work closely with various corporate and divisional groups and various departments through the company Continuously improve process and productivity Special business, IT, compliance and audit projects as required.
What We Are Looking For:
Qualifications: Business Degree in Accounting/Finance Minimum 5 years previous tax compliance experience SAP experience or equivalent financial software required Taxware experience or other tax compliance software required Strong PC skills including proficiency with MS Office applications Strong analytical, communication, and people management skills Must have a sense of urgency and ability to work independently Must possess strong organizational skills with attention to details while be capable of multi-tasking Should be familiar with general accounting concepts, practices and procedures

Salary Range
