Manager’s primary role is to create the culture,

designs,
enables

and supports
all aspects of production and productivity in

eturns (RGA) and Service Operations
. Reporting to the
Sr Engineering Manager
and responsible for engineering in
the
Olive Branch, MS Returns operation
(
RGA
)
, this position is
a key member of Service Operations leadership
. The successful candidate will lead
a
team
in the Returns Dept
and will collaborate closely with
leaders
in both
Service Hubs
and at the corporate level
.
This role will buildand continuouslydevelopteams centered onengineering expertise and with the depth necessary to support a fast-growing

Create and maintain environments
that are obsessed with providing world-class engineering disciplines in coordination with sister plants, corporate counterparts, and support organizations.
Continually develop the
Engineering
teams themselves, increasing their skills as educators and professionals.
Participate in and ensure proper day-to-day leadershipof the
engineering
workforce.
Production Engineering Provide
day to day
support
for
production
/
returns
operations. Lead or assist with problem solving to
minimize downtime,
maximize throughput
,
and ensure safety and quality.
Create and maintain documented work instructions for all plant operations. Collaborate closely with
in-plant counterparts
to implement
new procedures as well as
changes
,
revisions
, and
corrective actions.
Coordinate with IT to
prioritize,
test
,
and validate
changes to shop management systems.
In partnership with
in-plant
Leadership
create and implement a robust 6S (5S+Safety) program.
Manage outlets for Products (ie. Liquidation, NAD
, Donation, Scrap
)
Partner with Marketing and other business units for new high-value outlets
for returned products
Lead all
large initiatives/projects that will impact Returns/Service Operations in Olive Branch, MS
New Product Development Actively collaborate with
in-plant and
corporate counterparts to implement the Service new
-
product
-
development process (“Service VIGOR”). This includes:
Providing
input
from concept through end of life on how tool design / features can improve Service.
Creating work instructions, guides, training videos, and other documentation.
Designing, testing, and procuring fixtures and tooling for
return operations
.
Assisting
in-plant counterparts
in
launching new products onto the floor.
Assist in defining outlets for when new products are returned.
Quality Collaborate with Hub and Corporate Quality teams to integrate Quality into all processes
Provide
Returns
observations and recommendations
during
all KPI/Metric
reviews.
Assist in implementing all Quality improvement changes to affected processes.
Productivity Identify and lead day-to-day process improvement activities
as well as
major projects to increase productivity and cost effectiveness.
Quantify, track, and report
the savings and improvements.
Education and Experience Requirements Requires a Bachelor’s degree in
Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, Operations Management or Industrial Technology, or equivalent education/ work experience
Lean / Six Sigma certification
or training
is highly desired
5
+ years
of
experience
in
production-related
engineering.
Experience with new product development and/or Design for Service is highly desired.
Experience in a Service repair environment is highly desired.
Experience in Returned Goods is desirable.
3+ years
of
experience leading people
is desirable.
Experience with enterprise-grade ERP systems.
Expertise with
Oracle
and/or
KÖRBER
is highly desired.
Demonstrated success in:
Creating a
high-performing
e
ngineering
organization centered around a strong company culture.
high-change / high-growth environments.
Working cross-functionally with geographically distributed support functions and sister plants performing similar activities.
Solid communication skills, both written and verbal

are required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is required (Word, Excel,

Travel during initial training will be regular and
frequent
