The Parts Pricing Department examines and sets market pricing for over 1 million part numbers (parts & accessories), which determines the sales and profit of the PS&T Division. The Parts Pricing and Policies Manager ensures the department associates analyze and review all cost changes and assigned product groups by exploring market data to ensure divisional profit targets are achieved. The Manager ensures weekly department work cues and assignments are completed and approved on time in accordance with departmental and divisional policies, coordinating with all publication schedules. Honda Motor Company is the primary source of part numbers in the Parts Catalogue & Masterfile. The PNA Department's primary role is to edit and publish the Parts Catalogue and Masterfile information for local and export customer consumption.

Key Accountabilities

Monitor pricing procedures and approval levels:

Oversee all pricing actions and ensure compliance with corporate guidelines and standards.

Use pricing strategically:

Develop and implement pricing action plans that consider target demographics, competitor analysis, and market goals to optimize profitability.

Maintain industry ranking:

Ensure catalog timeliness, accuracy, and efficiency to establish and maintain Carlisle Survey #1 Pricing Policy ranking for Honda and Acura.

Set mass-price increase targets:

Develop plans to meet executive-directed targets, including countermeasures for pricing errors.

Supervise staff:

Directly manage 5 Pricing Specialists and other associates, fostering development and ensuring task completion.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Educational Requirements:

BA/BS in business administration, economics, or engineering.

MBA preferred.

Experience:

Automotive or Mechanical Parts: 5-6 years.

Business/Pricing Analysis: 8-10 years.

Field Experience: 5-7 years.

Supervisory Experience: 5-7 years.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Project Planning tools.

Experience with data query tools like Access and Business Objects.

Strong internet research skills.

Core Competencies:

Analytical and financial skills relevant to pricing and profitability analysis.

Working Conditions Overtime required. Must be resourceful, attentive to sales and profit metrics, and interact with multiple departments regularly.
