Transforming the Future with Convergence of Simulation and Data Dimensional Control Engineer Interiors Job Summary: Our client in Troy, MI is looking for a Dimensional Control Engineer Interiors. This is a contract position. What you get to do We’re seeking an energetic, organized, and experienced Dimensional Control Engineer Interiors - Contractor to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing, designing, and executing all aspects of dimensional control—collaborating closely with Product Engineering and Manufacturing/Operations teams to establish a robust, integrated strategy across product, subassembly, component, and process levels. Join us and help shape the future of electric mobility. Responsibilities include: Developing and implementing strategies for datum and dimensional control. Managing all aspects related to dimensional control during design and manufacturing phases. Leading collaboration between internal/external teams and suppliers to meet project requirements and timelines. Designing, developing, and implementing the Datum and Dimensional Control Strategy. Collaborating with suppliers and internal departments to execute the strategy and GD&T component requirements. Communicating with stakeholders to balance program timing, performance, and budget. Delivering a Datum and Dimensional Control Strategy that meets product performance, CAPEX, OPEX, uptime, quality, and customer requirements. Developing production execution plans including product requirements, process documents, tooling standards, and lessons learned for continuous improvement. Contributing to process improvement initiatives to enhance product/process development efficiency. Responding to inquiries and issues to arrive at enterprise-wide solutions. Qualifications Prioritize safety to protect team members, partners, and the environment. Experience executing Datum and Dimensional Control Strategy in the automotive industry. Knowledge of dimensional control, datum strategy, GD&T, quality systems, tooling, and operations. Ability to implement innovative manufacturing processes. Excellent communication skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities. Strong ethics and integrity. Minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
