Surveying Technician - Office - CAD Specialist

As a Surveying Technician - Office (MicroStation ORD/AutoCAD C3D), you will play a key role in our mission, and be part of a supportive environment that values work-life balance. In this role, you will: Work independently to gather records and project information. Create complex drawings from field data and sketches using advanced computer-aided drafting software, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Follow company and client CAD procedures and guidelines. Utilize independent judgment in delivering surveying results. Communicate effectively regarding drawing execution, design, and layout. Maintain schedules and provide regular progress updates. Mentor and share knowledge with less experienced surveying technicians. Job Requirements: 6+ years of previous surveying experience. A valid US driver's license and a good driving record. High school diploma or equivalent. Able to work within a mentor/mentee team atmosphere. Proficient in current and emerging technologies. Safety-oriented with excellent communication skills. Positive and collaborative work ethic. Familiarity with MS Office (Word and Excel). Desired Qualifications: 10+ years of previous surveying experience. Expert knowledge of land surveying and geometry. Advanced skills in AutoCAD C3D and/or MicroStation ORD. CST1, CST2, or CST3 certification (Certified Survey Technician). Experience with Aerial Drone and 3D Point Cloud scanning technology. Working Conditions: This is primarily an office position with opportunities to work outside on projects as needed. Ability to adapt to various terrains and weather conditions while recognizing safety hazards. Multidisciplinary project involvement.
