The successful candidate will assist the 350th Spectrum Warfare Group (350 SWG) at Eglin AFB, Florida. The 350 SWG is the technical focal point for all electronic warfare (EW) support of warfighter systems for the Combat Air Forces (CAF), including fighter, bomber, airborne surveillance, and helicopter platforms.
Essential Job Functions:
The mission of the 350 SWG is to develop and test mission data (MD) to identify and/or defeat enemy radar and infrared guided missile systems, enhancing aircrew and aircraft survivability in combat.
This includes operational EW testing, MD development/validation/verification, force development evaluation, and foreign materiel exploitation facilitation.
The role involves conducting EW research, MD development, and testing. It supports EW system programming/reprogramming, coordinates with EW system engineers, prepares validation and verification plans, participates in ground and flight tests, and organizes MD configuration control boards.
The candidate will assist with data collection, recording, and post-test analysis during MD testing, interpret emitter definitions for LO aircraft, and program software databases referencing intel sources.
Responsibilities also include analyzing threat waveforms, reprogramming, developing, maintaining, and testing parametric data into MDF using various software tools, and conducting validation & verification of MDF via characterization, correlation, and compatibility testing using SITL and HITL methods.
Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure mission data design, development, and testing meet requirements is essential.
Required Skills:
U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitive nature of customer requirements.
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Science, or a related field, plus 3 to 10 years of experience.
An active Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
Ability to recognize and analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results, and make recommendations.
Capability to manage multiple mission data areas, prioritize emitter assignments, and keep products current.
Experience with threat database development using EWIR tools, performance characterization assessments, and software simulations.
Knowledge of computer systems, Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and effective communication skills.
Willingness to travel and provide training to new staff.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of EW weapons systems, DoD test methodologies, threat systems, and databases such as CED and EWIRDB.
Experience with CEESIM models, JMPS, data analysis software, and data product development.
Engineering expertise in EW systems, radar, warning receivers, missile systems, RF/IR systems, avionics, and systems integration.
Familiarity with EM spectrum, threat analysis, and low observable principles.
