The Event Sales Manager is a results-driven sales professional responsible for generating new business and maximizing banquet, catering, and rental revenues for the hotel. This role focuses on proactive sales efforts, strategic relationship building, and closing high-value social and corporate events. While operational follow-through is essential, the primary objective is to grow the hotel’s event business through targeted prospecting, client engagement, and strategic market positioning.

Sales & Business Development o Proactively identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities in the corporate, social, and association markets. o Develop and maintain strong relationships with wedding planners, event organizers, corporate decision-makers, and other key industry contacts. o Conduct high-impact site tours and sales presentations that highlight the property’s value proposition. o Negotiate and close event contracts to meet and exceed revenue goals. o Maintain a robust sales pipeline, leveraging CRM tools to track prospects, follow-ups, and conversion rates. o Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies. o Represent the hotel at networking events, industry functions, and trade shows to drive new leads. ·
Revenue & Forecasting o Create and execute sales strategies to maximize use of hotel space for food, beverage, and rental revenue. o Prepare accurate banquet and catering forecasts (monthly, quarterly, and annual) and contribute to overall sales budget achievement. o Collaborate with revenue management to optimize pricing, packages, and promotions for profitability. ·
Client Management & Event Handover o Serve as the primary point of contact during the sales process, ensuring a smooth transition to the Event Planning and Operations teams once contracted. o Clearly document and communicate all event details, including Banquet Event Orders, group resumes, and special requests. o Conduct post-event follow-ups to reinforce client relationships and generate repeat business. Qualifications 3–5 years of proven success in hotel catering or event sales, with a strong record of meeting or exceeding sales goals. Exceptional sales, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strong business acumen with the ability to develop and execute revenue-generating strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and close deals. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel CRM/event management systems. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with a sense of urgency.
