The College of Law is currently seeking a Student Marketing and Communications Assistant to join their team. Duties to include: Assists with the development and transition of website platform (Wordpress to Cascade) Assists in the development and maintenance of websites and landing pages to enhance usability, marketing effectiveness, and visitor experience. Ability to take and edit video for social media reels Assists in managing social media efforts Writes (as needed) articles, web postings, etc., drafts, reviews, and proofreads for publishing. Utilizes design software such as Canva for graphic and template development for web and social media. Schedules photography sessions and takes photos. Writes news stories and press releases as assigned Assists with the production and dissemination of printed and online marketing materials, including but not limited to e-blasts, social media graphics, flyers, advertisements, and rankings stories. Organizes databases in Excel including maintaining lists, updating, and filtering contacts, etc. Minimum Qualifications

Requires prior completion of FIU Service Excellence training or completion within first 30 days. Ability to work in a team setting. Must be a Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or Computer Engineering student. Ability to take direction and work independently as needed. Intermediate level of Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of PC operations and specialized software. Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information. Job Category

Student Assistant Student Disclosure

Applicants must be currently enrolled as a student at FIU with a minimum of six (6) credits as an Undergraduate student or three (3) credits as a Graduate student during the Fall and Spring semesters. During the Summer semesters, Students need only remain enrolled and are not required to take credit hours, but cannot have graduated. Upon graduating, student employment must end. Work Schedule
