POSITION SUMMARY:
If you are a detail-oriented individual with a strong background working with a mechanical service team, we would love to hear from you. This estimating position requires a self-starter to work with the Service and/or Assistant Service Manager to prepare accurate, comprehensive, competitive labor and materials estimates for service driven HVAC installations within specified time frames.
Requirements and Qualifications:
High energy level to handle dynamic, evolving, and fast-paced workload
Ability to work on multiple well-organized, accurate estimates at once
Excellent time management skills and prioritization of tasks to meet deadlines
Analytical with strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Customer-centric
Proficient with Microsoft Office: Outlook/Word/Excel.
Timberline experience and knowledge a plus.
HVAC estimating: +2 years ()
Initiative; self-motivated and driven self-starter with high integrity.
Skillful listener, with excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
High School diploma or GED equivalent and a quick learner
Current valid drivers license for operating motor vehicles in the state of New Jersey
Must be punctual, dependable and be able to take initiative and be proactive
Embrace change in processes as the company continues to grow
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage all proposal requests from Operix application and assure the below is completed.
Coordinate and manage all service-related purchased needed to satisfy service department requirements.
Quote service repairs generated within our web-based service program(5 day max turnaround)
Review quotes as they are received from technicians throughout the day
Identify priority and if verbal approval is an option with Service Manager/Assistant Service Manager
Place requests for pricing & lead times with vendors
Conduct research and use available resources to ensure accuracy of all estimates, work with field supervisor or assistant service manager for parts/labor verification if needed.
Receive requests for high priority service repair parts needed to be addressed, located, purchased, and distributed to service team for logistics.
Verify accuracy of items requested and purchased vs received.
Maintain certain service department stock items as needed.
Generate purchase orders and maintain purchaser order life cycle per company protocols.
Manage warranty purchasing and maintain return purchases.
Recognize cost-saving opportunities and provide alternative options, when needed
Present to management for review; including priority level, materials, driver pricing, standard scope wording, applicable lead times
Work well with customers and field staff, presenting final proposals in a professional manner with personalized email through tech tool, following up regularly and resending as per SOP
Upon approval, enter job booking in system as per established standard operating procedure and work with service manager to schedule based no material and labor availability
Stage material for pick up and / or delivery.
