Overview U.S. Electrical Testing specializes in electrical acceptance testing, maintenance testing, and commissioning services for mission-critical facilities, secure environments, commercial, and industrial clients. The company's capabilities include emergency response, engineering services, and turn-key installation and repair. Responsibilities Programs, installs, and maintains protective relaying and metering. Performs electrical tests and repairs on in-service relays to prevent and remedy equipment failures. Analyzes test results and interprets electrical diagrams to locate defective equipment. Uses hand and power tools, meters, and test equipment in energized electrical environments to install, maintain, and repair relays and associated wiring. Reads, reviews, and corrects schematic, wiring diagrams, and substation drawings. Programs and operates test equipment, following safety practices. Commissions new relay and metering installations. Coordinates testing, troubleshooting, and repairs with team members. Performs maintenance and testing on relays, generators, and meters. Troubleshoots and replaces faulty components. Participates in emergency call-outs. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25-50%. Strong MS Office skills; experience with Power DB and Smartsheet is a plus. Minimum 4+ years relevant electrical experience, or associate’s degree with 2-4 years experience, or bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years experience. Valid/active U.S. Work Authorization. Knowledge & Skills NETA / NICET certification preferred or equivalent experience. Understanding of ANSI, IEEE, NETA, NFPA, NEC, OSHA standards. Ability to interpret electrical schematics and manuals. Experience with protective relays, circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, and test equipment like Doble, Omicron, Megger, Vanguard, Fluke meters. Knowledge of insulation resistance, power factor, contact resistance, Hi-Pot testing. Experience with medium/high-voltage systems (up to 500kV). Strong troubleshooting skills. Willingness to travel and work in industrial environments. Commitment to safety protocols and documentation. Preferred Qualifications OEM certified field service training.
